As we are promoting Mouth Cancer Awareness Month, we decided to take a look at e-cigarettes
E-cigarettes haven’t been around for so long that we are fully aware of their impact. But in five years, the number of people using e-cigarettes had quadrupled. Currently they are the most popular aid in the UK for people who are trying to stop smoking tobacco.

Are e-cigarettes safe?
According to Cancer Research UK, they are not as harmful as smoking tobacco. You can read their full article on e-cigarette safety here. The important difference is that they don’t contain tobacco, and use heating, not combustion.
There are local NHS Stop Smoking Services
You can find your nearest service through this link here. Being part of a group can be helpful. Although the service is free, only medicines are available on prescription. Most people do find, however, that vaping is not as costly as smoking tobacco.
