Dental implants could be the solution to your problem!
Do you have a missing tooth? Or missing teeth? Do you have a gap? Or have you tried dentures and they didn’t work for you? Do you need modern dental technology to help you have artificial teeth that do the work of real teeth?
If you’re wondering how to close the gap, then implants could be the solution you need.
Why implants?
Implants are increasingly popular for good reason. They are a safe, well-established treatment with very positive results. In fact an implant is the closest thing, currently available, to having your own teeth! The initial cost is more expensive than a denture, but if you take good care of the implant and follow the advice given to you by your dentist, in the long term dental implants are a great investment.
What is the procedure for dental implants?
Implants can replace either a single tooth or a whole set. Because they are not suitable for everyone’s needs, we offer a initial consultation. Your dentist will carry out an assessment and outline your treatment options, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, before any treatment is agreed to or started.
The first surgical step is to implant a titanium screw into the jawbone to support your replacement tooth. This is the most difficult part of the procedure for the patient as it is minor surgery. The visible crown section is custom-made and designed to match (or even improve) your existing tooth shape and colour. The full treatment takes a few months to complete as the area around the implant needs to heal before the final crown is added. Of course, your dentist provides a temporary solution so that you’re not left with a gap.
