There’s been quite a few posts on our website and social media, as well as media news in general, encouraging us to do all sorts of things that will improve our relationships, our health and our life.
Has it all been too much? Now it’s the end of January, it’s a good time to take stock.
As we’re at the end of January, let’s see if we’ve got anywhere! Let’s hope our new resolutions aren’t already history!
- It was dry January. How did that go? If it didn’t, then there’s no reason why we shouldn’t have a dry February. It’s a shorter month, at least!
- Did you notice any of the older members of your family having problems with their teeth when you saw them over the holiday period? It’s very common for people who are older to have difficulty maintaining good oral hygiene, leading to gum problems, decay and tooth loss. Why not help them to make a dental appointment?
- Was giving up smoking your target for January? If it’s been harder than you thought, then there’s plenty of support out there. Some people find vaping a great alternative, and the dangers are not thought to be as bad as smoking.
- Did you buy any great new dental products? We mentioned electric toothbrushes, inter-dental brushes and even tongue scrapers. There are all kinds of not very sexy products on the market that could actually make a positive difference to your relationship. If you haven’t gone shopping yet, it’s only a couple of weeks until Valentine’s Day!
- We’ve been busy getting in new equipment in Whitchurch and renewing one of the Plymouth surgeries. If your own home improvements are getting you down, take it from us, you’ll get there in the end! Well, some time in February, you hope!
- There’s been a lot in the media about sugar too. 95% of tooth decay can be avoided. Did you cut down on sugary snacks between meals? Or increase your exercise? Good oral health and overall health are connected. It’s good to have family conversations about fitness.
- Have you read about our current offers? Spa Dental Whitchurch and SpaDental Plymouth both have offers on consultations that are worth checking out.
- And if you haven’t done it yet, why not make that dental appointment you know you need?!
