During July and August, SpaDental Glastonbury is offering new patient appointments at the special price of £57.00. It includes a systematic examination of the teeth, gums, lips and mouth, a treatment plan and x-rays, as needed.

We’re delighted to welcome dentist Lucy Williams to the practice. Lucy is enjoying meeting patients who have been coming to the practice, often for years, before it became part of the SpaDental group. Moreover, Lucy is welcoming new patients and reviewing their dental care.

• What to expect during a new patient appointment

Lucy has a keen professional interest in prosthetic dentistry. Also called prosthodontics, it’s the field of dentistry that restores teeth that are damaged or missing. Lucy has the aesthetic skill, as well as the technical knowledge required, to ensure her patients are more than satisfied with their new smiles.

An important part of the process for Lucy is helping patients to make choices. By asking questions about life-style and oral care, by assessing patient’s mouths thoroughly and also exploring the best options to pay for suitable treatments, Lucy can provide information that helps patients make the best choices for them. For most patients with lost or damaged teeth, the choice is between crowns, bridges, dentures or implants. She is conscious that patients have different needs and budgets, and tailors her treatments accordingly. In keeping with SpaDental philosophy, Lucy champions preventive care, for healthy teeth and gums.

As dentistry is always changing, with new techniques and materials, Lucy also invests time in her own professional development, as well as helping others to learn new skills. Not only is she studying for a master’s degree in implantology at the University of Bristol, she is also a clinical supervisor of undergraduate dental students at the University of Plymouth Peninsula Dental School.

In her free time, Lucy is a talented equestrian. She enjoys working on her horses’ fitness training and competing in show-jumping events.
