Assistant Practice Manager Tanzy Cronshey

Assistant Practice Manager Tanzy Cronshey is already a firm favourite with patients who know her as a dental nurse. Not only is she a calm and reassuring presence, she’s also a driving force for getting things done.

Our very best wishes to Tanzy as she begins her new role as Assistant Practice Manager as SpaDental Chard and SpaDental Glastonbury.

Tanzy readily stepped into her new role and is already making a difference. Organising events during her first week, such as a Halloween themed Children’s Day and a special offer for take-home tooth whitening, she demonstrates her focus on offering patients a great service.

Getting things done with Tanzy

Ever since she joined the Chard practice, Tanzy has been an invaluable, much-appreciated member of the team. Her calm, practical approach reassures her patients and helps them to access the dental care they need. What her patients may not realise, is what a great organiser Tanzy is. Like a swan, she appears calm, yet under the surface she’s working hard to make sure that people’s needs and expectations are being met.

Tanzy says, “I like to be busy and enjoy learning new things.”

Loving her work

In the practice, it goes without saying that Tanzy puts her patients first. Tanzy says, “The key things I enjoy the most are patient care, organising and being there for the rest of the team for help and advice.”

Offering a personal dental experience so patients feel respected and valued is important to her. She’s looking forward to the new experience of working across two different dental practices and meeting new patients.

Creating a home

Tanzy has spent the last six months renovating a house, to create a home for her family. “Now my spare time consists of cleaning like mad!” Tanzy says. “During the renovation I actually did some plastering, I knocked all the tiles off the bathroom walls and completely (and accidently) knocked through to the hallway! I also was very strangely good at grouting!”

Somehow Tanzy still manages to squeeze in some trips to the beach with her daughter.

Demonstrating a head for business

Hard-working Tanzy also does the paperwork and accounting for her soon-to-be husband’s car repair garage – AB Autos, in Chard. Her business skills developed in this area are invaluble as she moves into practice management.

If we can see babies before their first birthday, if we see young children to make sure their teeth are getting the care and the fluoride treatment they need, then working together parents and dentists can help children keep their healthy teeth for life!

To register a child as a new patient and make an appointment, a parent or guardian can get in touch with the practice directly, without the need to apply to join a waiting list. We prioritise children as NHS patients in support of government initiatives to improve the oral health of young people.
