Now children are back in school, our return to our old routines is making life feel a bit more normal again. At the dentist too, we’re striving to get back to our regular services. We understand that for children in particular, the routines of dental care are important. Although dental practices still have to observe strict regulations, we would love to see your children soon.
Please note we are not able to register new NHS patients at the moment.
Even though some of our practices still need to prioritise urgent and essential care, we are opening up opportunities for children to access routine preventive appointments too. Parents or guardians can get in touch to book after-school or half-term appointments. We’re doing this because preventive care is important for the future health of children’s teeth.

The importance of preventive care
We encourage you to bring your children in to the practice for a routine dental assessment. Growing teeth need regular attention to ensure they stay healthy and problem-free.
As children grow, regular dental appointments are important to prevent any concerns becoming a problem, which can happen without early intervention. During an appointment, your child’s dentist will systematically risk assess the possibility of tooth decay. Advice is usually given on diet and oral hygiene routines, as well as treatment if needed. Not only will a dentist check for concerns like plaque, but also tooth development and alignment.
At home, parents are encouraged to establish a rigorous twice daily oral hygiene routine at home, enable a healthy diet and book regular visits to the dentist for check-ups. And remember, it’s never too early to bring your child to the dentist – babies are welcome any time, but should definitely visit the dentist before their first birthday.
So your child doesn’t miss school, we suggest booking an after-school or half-term appointment.
Please do it as soon as possible, so as not to be disappointed.
We expect places to fill up quickly.
We would love to see your children soon!
Once again, please note we are not able to register new NHS patients at the moment.
