As our offer of examinations for children under 12 has been so popular, we have an offer for older children too. Read on!
Dental care funded by the NHS can be hard to access at the moment. As we know children benefit from regular dental examinations our private-only dental practices are allocating special times for children. We invite you to book an appointment using the form at the end of this page.
Affordable dental examinations for children
- Appointments for children aged 12 – 17 are more expensive because of developing permanent secondary teeth.
- If you have more than one child, book an appointment for each child and we will do our best to cluster the booking.
- To secure the appointment the parent/guardian will be asked to pay in advance.
- We especially look forward to meeting children who have not visited our practice before.

Good to know
A child’s dental examination includes a risk-assessment of your child’s oral health. Regular examinations help identify concerns, such as caries, bite, cracks and uneven wear. Early identification helps to protect your child’s developing dentition.
If your child requires further treatment, your dental therapist can develop a treatment plan. Dental therapists provide further hygiene and preventive treatment, including fluoride painting. They are also qualified to perform routine treatments, including placing fillings.
A dental examination is an excellent opportunity for a child, parent or guardian to discuss oral health concerns and the development of their teeth. We have a referral system in place for patients who present with a concern a dentist needs to diagnose and treat. This is particularly relevant for older children developing their secondary teeth.
Should your child require additional treatment, one of the team can discuss payment options. We offer good value dental plans for both adults and children that help to spread the cost of regular examinations and include a 10% discount on essential treatments.
