Join the SpaDental standby appointment list

Sometimes the wait for a dental appointment may be a bit longer than we would like. If you’d prefer not to have to wait so long, why not join our list of patients available to attend a standby appointment?

All you need to do is let us know you’re interested in coming to the dentist at short notice.

Can I become a standby patient?

If you are available to come into the practice at short notice, then please register your interest on our contact form.

When you reach question 8, please look through the options until you get to the last one.

What next?

When we know there’s a cancellation, we’ll contact patients who are waiting for an appointment, and have registered their standby availability. This means that if an appointment slot comes up sooner than the date of your booked appointment you can decide to accept the new time offered.

If we phone you and the day or time we suggest is not convenient, you are under no obligation to accept the new appointment time. We will just call another person on the list until we find a patient who is free to attend.

Please note:

How does standby help me?

We believe preventive care is important. As a registered patient with SpaDental, we always ask you to see the dentist for check-ups and regular examinations. We know that if we can catch a dental concern early, it’s better for our patients. It can save pain, limit damage to teeth or gums, and also save you more costly restoration work.

With a shortage of dentists in the country at the moment, the demand for appointments is high. We hope our standby option will help some of our patients access care with a shorter waiting period.

Getting in touch with the practice

The easiest way to register your availability as a standby patient is by using the online form linked above.

Alternatively, please write an email to the practice.

If those two methods are not available to you, and you wish to phone your practice, please be aware there is often a call queue.

Appointment cancellations

We kindly remind patients who have an appointment booked, to get in touch at least 24 hours in advance, to cancel and reschedule if necessary.

Due to the frequency of missed appointments without notification, our reception team ask for a deposit at the time of booking treatment with any clinician. Missed appointments may be charged in full and can affect access to further appointments.

We understand that some patients may be unwell or need to self-isolate, but it is a great help to us and to other patients if you let us know in good time.
