Before treatment begins, you will receive a plan, outlining costs and procedures. Should your treatment plan need to change to accommodate unforeseen clinical needs, then your dentist will ensure that you are informed of any alteration to the fees.

Options for fees at Whitchurch
The patient payment schemes offered in SpaDental Whitchurch are as follows:
- For private patients attending or visiting the practice, the whole range of treatments our clinicians offer is available.
- SpaDental Plan covers patients’ appointments for the regular care necessary to maintain good oral health and offers a 10% discount on clinically necessary restorative treatments.
- NHS patients registered with the practice have access to clinically necessary treatments funded by NHS England.
Any patient may decide to have treatment that is not included in their regular agreement as a private patient by paying the private fee.

Private Patients
The whole range of treatment offered by our clinicians is available to any patients on a ‘Pay as You Go’ Private Fee basis. Our private fee guide gives an indicative fee for the proposed treatment but this may change for clinical reasons as you proceed through your course of treatment. Your clinician will agree with you the change of treatment and fees before any further treatment is provided.
SpaDental Plan Patients
The SpaDental Plan at Whitchurch covers those aspects of your dental care that are vital for maintaining good oral health and help you spread the cost of your yearly dental care. It focuses on prevention, covering your regular check-ups (including x-rays) and hygiene appointments. If we discover your teeth need some extra care and attention, this plan includes discounts for routine restorative treatments.
SpaDental also offers Denplan Care, for patients who wish to budget for both their preventive and restorative needs. To be able to join this plan, patients must be dentally fit. It is most useful for patients who have completed some challenging treatment and wish to thoroughly maintain their optimum oral health.
NHS Patients
NHS dental charges have three bands to cover a range of treatments. The NHS sets fees according to the band the treatment is in. The bands determine the fee to be charged to the patient, unless the patient can claim a qualifying exemption. Please note that children under 18 (under 19 if in full-time education) are exempt from fees.
